Microsoft Copilot for Edge

Newcastle University colleagues and students now have access to Microsoft Copilot for Edge, which allows you to use the latest generative AI tools (ChatGPT v4 and DALL.E v3) for free with your University Microsoft account. can help with tasks such as drafting written content, developing presentations, and creating images
benefits from enterprise data protection so you and your students can use it safely and securely
does not use the information you enter into it to train the AI model

Remember: it's Copilot, not autopilot! Use the platform as a tool to help you and your students be more productive. As with all generative AI platforms, however, you will always need to sense check and verify outputs.

Try Copilot yourself

If you have never used generative AI tools yet, now is the best time to give it a go. They're extremely easy to use, and with Microsoft Copilot for Edge, you can try the latest ChatGPT and DALL.E AI tools safely and securely.

Open Microsoft Copilot for Edge (you will need to log in using your University user name and password)

You can try your own prompts, or you can start with the selection of introductory example prompts we have created for you - simply copy and paste each prompt into the text box in Copilot (currently labelled Message Copilot) to begin chatting.
