NUSU (Newcastle University's Student Union) is here for all students studying at Newcastle University. It is led by students and is here to be both fun and supportive of your university experience. Take the time to explore their website to see what's on offer.

The seven Sabbatical Officers, known as Sabbs, and ten Liberation Officers and Chairs are student-elected and represent all areas of university life. They work on your behalf, making positive change.

The NUSU building hosts an array of food outlets and there is a small supermarket, the Co-op, in the building too.

With over 180 societies (an organised group that shares similar, specific interests) and 65 sports clubs, you’re sure to find like-minded people and make friends. Not sure which club or society to join? Check out the Clubs and Societies Fair that will take place at the beginning of term, to meet the students running your Sports Clubs and Societies.

The Give it a Go programme offers one-off discounted activities from sports sessions to trips around the North East so you can try something new, learn something new and meet some new friends.

The Student Voice Team are here to make sure you are represented and heard when it comes to your academic experience. We train and support all your course and school reps who then go on to represent you and ensure your studies here at Newcastle University are fully supported.

The Support and Advice hub is home to both your Student Advice Centre and Welfare and Support Centre providing advice and resources across a range of issues you may face during your time at uni.

The Student Union also run a vital helpline called Nightline. Nightline is there if you need help or support at any time of the day.
