Recruitment tests
Recruitment tests are often used by employers as part of the selection process. You might see them referred to as psychometric, aptitude or intelligence tests.
Most employers offering graduate schemes will require students to complete some form of recruitment test during the application process. These can help you identify your strengths and abilities, and assess your suitability for particular careers or occupations.
Types of recruitment tests
There are many different types of recruitment tests. The recruitment tests you're asked to complete may vary depending on the role you are applying for.

Practicing recruitment tests
The best way to prepare is to practice! This allows you to get familiar with types of questions you might be asked. You'll also get more comfortable with answering questions on a timed basis and a chance to experience the systems you'll be using to complete the tests.
Once you've registered as a student on campus, you'll have free access to a platform called 'Graduates First'. This will allow you to practice tests such as:
- Numerical reasoning
- Verbal reasoning
- Logical reasoning
- Situational Judgement tests...and more
